BCCP Regular Program (8 Weeks) (July 11th, 2011 – September 2nd, 2011)

A Study Abroad Program by STMIK STIKOM Bali
Bali Cross Cultural Program (BCCP) is a study abroad program based in Bali, Indonesia. As the most popular touristic island in Indonesia, Bali is not only referred to as the Last Paradise but also as an ever-changing cosmology where awe-embracing culture, energetic creativity, and technology thrive and complement each other. BCCP is established and managed by (STMIK) STIKOM BALI that is situated in the heart of the culturally dynamic city of Denpasar, Bali. Currently, STIKOM BALI is among the most prominent universities of information and technology in Indonesia with more than 3500 students (February 2010). As a center of excellence for information and technology in Bali, STIKOM BALI corresponds to the vastness and rapid application of technology in all dimensions of life. We believe that technology provides multiple pathways for learning, promotes skills of problem solving and critical thinking, as well as connecting us to the diverse and changing world.

In regards to such idea, BCCP represents a unique learning experience to broaden participants perspective and character through exploring, embracing and learning the universal values of Balinese tradition and modernity that have enriched each other for ages. BCCP presents a unique opportunity to experience new cultures, enrich personal experience and expand a new worldview. BCCP will provide overseas students a dynamic, challenging and comprehensive learning atmosphere in the domains of culture and technology including the native and Indonesian language. Balinese arts and culture both in class and field studies. Firstly, international students of BCCP will follow series of lectures in the convenience of STIKOM BALI classrooms from resourceful lecturers that are experts in their respective fields. Secondly, students will learn and comprehend the daily cultural activities of Bali through workshops and field studies that will take place directly in a number of regencies of the island. Therein, students will learn from experts and participate in artistic dan cultural activities such as Balinese dance, music. craft, painting, and many more.

BCCP is offered as a regular program (8 weeks). The program will include a four week field study in various aspects of Balinese arts and culture in numerous centers of excellence. In addition, BCCP is also willing to set up customized  programs following the need of participants in group.
